Spending in the right way and on the right thing do make us happy as we feel that we are helping other people. But sometimes I wonder when we spend money and time in helping others, we also want to resolve their issue or at least make things a bit better. However, there are some countries we have been helping them so much such as donating them money and sending them food to rescue the starvation; things just don’t turn any better or still remain the same. Thus, in those cases, does our love by spending money on them really solve their problems? I mean if we achieve our purpose by spending/donating money on them? I am just concerned what if those people just become relying on others’ generosity and lost the ability to work and change their current situation? I don’t mean to stop helping them, but spending on those cases are still pure love? Take care and be love.
Personally, the lesson I’ve learned with giving is that the end result doesn’t really matter. What is most important, for me, is the act of generosity and Love that starts in you. I think it’s all about creating that positive space with yourself and just having the desire to help. That’s what helps us realize our true self. It’s, of course, great if what you do or what you give helps someone in a siginificantly positive way. But, truly, encouraging the kindness, compassion and caring in yourself is what giving is all about. Again, just my humble opinon.
