I agree. I love myself by giving my love to people who also love and respect me; I also let those people go who don't love or respect me. I don't mean to be mean, but for those second group, they are not worth for my time and energy. Life is too short and to be honest, I don't even think of those people much in my life now as it is not worth it. For some of them that I can't avoid, and I have to see day to day, especially those who related to the ones I love, all I can give is a fake smile. I am a human not a machine, so I always tell my beloved ones that please don't force me to like anyone I Don't like. I can't do that as that is a betrayal to my heart. Take care! It is snowing outside. Be bright and be happy, nerd! :)

By letting go of the people we are not connected with, we Love ourselves. By letting go of anything that doesn't grow us the way we have aligned for ourselves, we create space for Love to flourish. Loving ourselves requires knowing our boundaries and our limits. It requires being able to say "no" and "yes" and even turn our back, if necessary. Love takes many many shapes and forms. Showing ourselves Love can often require withdrawing it from another. Be Love!
